Naniwa-ya Ramen
When you think of the food court at the mall, you usually think of long lines, high prices and mediocre food. Naniwa-ya Ramen, however, breaks the mold. Located in the food court at the Ala Moana Shopping Center, Naniwa-ya's service is quick, the prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. The original handmade noodles, soups, dumplings and side dishes are all made with the freshest ingredients, but what else would you expect from the same company that brought you Beijing Chinese restaurant?
The ramen at Naniwa-ya is popular with tourists and locals alike and just about everyone has their favorites. You can always order the original miso, shio, and shoyu style ramen, but Naniwa-ya also has a special "tonkotsu" based soup that you can't get anywhere else. Plus, there is no MSG!
Naniwa-ya has yummy side dishes as well. The gyoza (pot stickers) are handmade and the chefs prepare over a 1,000 fresh everyday! Also, be sure to try the famous manapua---but get there early, they are so popular they usually sell out halfway through the day.
With so many delicious dishes at Naniwa-ya, you will want to try them all!
