Gomaichi
Goma-Shoyu flavor Tantan-men($6.92) is a neutral flavored Ramen that’s not too plain or too heavy. You can enjoy the rich flavor of Goma(sesame) in this Ramen.
Zasai Sanho Ramen ($8.12)
The soup is not too sweet, but more sour and spicy than Tantan-men. The noodles are kind of thick, which matches very well with the toppings (Zasai and pork-negi) and the slightly tangy soup.
One of the best known ramen shops in Hawaii is Gomaichi!
The restaurant has been in business for 13 years and is conveniently located in the Ala Moana area. Aside from their great ramen, the other dishes at the shop are also well known---so well known, in fact, that there is usually a line of customers waiting outside before they open.
One of the greatest appeals of their ramen is the soup. Their unique method of making the soup ensures maximum flavor and sesame aroma. Without giving too much away, we can tell you that they cook the soup for more than 13 hours! Because of this lengthy process, the ramen has limited servings, so it might not be easy to get to it, but Gomaichi’s first priority is to serve fresh ramen at its best.
