Coconut Senbei!
FUJIYA is Japanese confectionary store with over 50 years in history in Hawaii. The owner, a Japanese couple who immigrated to Hawaii in 1953, opened this shop to serve the Japanese community here with all their favorite sweets. Now they specialize in combining the best of both worlds, Hawaii and Japan, for a unique and delicious taste.
The combination results in a truly original flavors and deserts. The store’s specialty, “mochi” for example, comes in surprising American flavors, including peanut butter, besides the traditional Japanese flavors, including white bean jam.
Another signature item is certainly the coconut flavored “senbei”, wrapped in a tropical-themed wrapping! The light golden-colored “senbei” is unbelievably crisp!
If you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss your chance to taste the original combinations of Japanese confectionary in American flavors for a snack that is truly unique to Hawaii!
