In "Meet The ASP Surfers Vol. 1", you got to know the 8 time world champion, Kelly Slater. So for volume 2, it's only fitting that we introduce you to Kelly Slater's greatest rival, Andy Irons. The two have a heated rivalry that even spans to their sponsors - Slater has Quicksilver, Irons has Billabong. The Hawaii-born Irons is arguably just as skilled, and perhaps even more popular, than Slater is. He even has a younger brother, Bruce Irons, who is also a world famous surfer.
Irons' riding style is skillful, yet extremely fast, so watching him shred through the waves is never boring.
On June 28, Irons was victorious at the Rip Curl Pro Search Title in Chile. This win catapulted him from #7 to #3 in the overall rankings. Surfers beware - Andy Irons is at the top of his game!
