New UH Warrior Coach
January 16, 2008
The University of Hawaii announced Defensive co-coordinator Greg McMackin as the new Head Coach for the Warrior Football team. The decision was made after a brief search for candidates and interviews held yesterday. McMackin was a heavy favorite for the job, with support coming from boosters, players and former coach June Jones. The position is worth an estimated $1.1 million, a substantial increase over the $100,000 assistant’s salary.
