Tax Rebate

House and Senate leaders from both parties met today and came to an agreement on tax relief in the hopes that it will lift the sagging US economy. Negotiations between the two parties have been held since President Bush announced plans for an economic relief package last week. The firm details of the plan are yet to be negotiated in Congress, but the broad outlines are beginning to emerge and include a cash payment to individuals and a capital tax write-off for businesses.
