Kennedy Endorses Obama
January 28, 2008
Senator Ted Kennedy and other members of the Kennedy family have publicly come out in support of Senator Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential candidate. The endorsement came at a rally in Washington after Obama won the South Carolina primary on Saturday. Obama won the state with nearly 55% of the vote while his closest rival, Senator Hillary Clinton, garnered only 27%. The victory in South Carolina gives Obama a big boost going into Super Tuesday, where over 20 states have party primaries or caucuses.
