Airport Security Blamed In Boy's Death
February 14, 2008
A baby traveling from Samoa to Hawaii for emergency medical attention died after being detained by security at the Honolulu airport. The boy, only fourteen days old, was born with a cognitive heart problem and was scheduled for heart surgery on Friday at Queen's Medical. A nurse traveled with the mother and boy during the overnight flight. While special travel arrangements had been made in Samoa, the mother was detained immediately upon her arrival.
