JAKoko Crater Trail To Close

City officials and local residents met at Hahaione Elementary School in Hawaii Kai to discuss the closure of the Koko Crater trail last night. The meeting stems from the closure of the trail on Feb. 15th after city workers became concerned that hikers on the trail were in danger of being hit by stray bullets from the Koko Head Shooting Complex near the crater. The shooting range has been at that location for years and no injuries have been reported, but officials fear that an increase in hikers on the trail could lead to an accident.
