Mayors across the country are banding together to prevent the use of illegal guns in violent crimes in their cities. Mayors Against Illegal Guns, founded by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, was established to try and curb the number of illegal guns being shipped to US cities. In the last two years, the groups has grown to 250 mayors representing cities with a population of 50 million in different 40 states.
