A suspect was shot and killed yesterday at Pearlridge shopping center yesterday after a confrontation with police. The incident occurred around 3:30pm on the second floor of the parking area. The Honolulu police department is investigating the incident and has placed the police officer involved in the shooting on administrative leave. Police have also opened a criminal investigation against the suspect.
