In a stunning development, Aloha Airlines has announced that it will be shutting down operations. The airline filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy two weeks ago but announced that it had ran out of time to find a qualified buyer or secure continued financing for its passenger business. The president of the company, David Banmiller, stated that unfair pricing from competitor go! Airlines and the rising cost of fuel forced the airline to close. This was the second time that the airline had filed bankruptcy in three years.
