President Bush defended his Iraq policy during a speech today, making his statement just one day after the senior commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus, gave testimony on Capitol Hill. The president called the situation in Iraq “complex” and while violence has abated somewhat, he admitted that enormous challenges remain. He stated that he has no plans to change the strategy already in place.
