Residents Get $1 Tax Rebate

The Hawaii State legislature has approved a $1--yes, one dollar--tax rebate for Hawaii residents next year. The refund, part of the Hawaii State Constitution, goes into effect when the state has two consecutive years of surplus taxes. The state is following the strict letter of the law which stipulates a minimum of one dollar has to be returned.
