Tornadoes Hit Virginia

Three tornadoes swept through central and southeastern Virginia on Monday, injuring about 200 people and damaging dozens of homes and businesses. Earlier reports of fatalities from the storms were inaccurate, officials said. A total of three tornadoes touched down in the area. One in Suffolk, another in Colonial Heights, about 60 miles northwest near Richmond Virginia and the last near Lawrenceville, about 70 miles south of Richmond.
