Aloha Stops Cargo Service
April 29, 2008
Aloha Airlines shut down its cargo operations on Monday. The move cuts off nearly 85 percent of air shipments between Oahu and the neighbor islands. Most of the shipments were perishable or time critical items such as mail, newspapers, food, pharmaceuticals and perishable farm products. The airline also carried packages for FedEx, UPS and DHL shipping services.
