The City Council yesterday approved the locations of 34 transit stations along the planned 26-mile commuter rail route stretching from West Kapolei to the University of Hawaii-Manoa and Waikiki. The stops announced will include a stop within a five-minute walk of the future UH-West Oahu campus. Previous plans called for the stop to be in a commercial district, which would force students to make a lengthy walk.
