Fuel Consumption Weakens
May 13, 2008
Americans are using less fuel as the high price of oil continues to drive up prices at the pump. A recent study shows that gasoline demand in the world's biggest fuel consuming nation has slipped about 1 percent so far this year. Figures from the countries gas stations are also down 0.4 percent in April. Government officials expect consumption to fall further this year, as the price of gas reaches $4 in most areas.
