Monk Seal Births Up

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NOAA, has reported that two Hawaiian monk seals have been born in recent weeks on Oahu. That brings the total to three the number of births for the endangered animal and is a new record for the island. The total number of pups born in the main Hawaiian Islands since the beginning of the year now stands at ten, compared to seven at this time last year.
