Hawaiian Air Raises Fares
May 22, 2008
Hawaiian Airlines has announced that it is raising both inter-island and mainland fares to help compensate for high fuel costs. In announcing the fare increase, officials with the company noted that fuel prices have risen over 100 percent this year, forcing many companies to pass the costs onto consumers. The airline has already added an additional $100 million in operating costs over the last week as prices continue to skyrocket.
