Circuit Court Judge Karl Sakamoto sentenced Ruben E. Royce to a maximum of thirty years in prison after a series of home invasions in 2005. Royce was found guilty of first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, second-degree theft and second-degree assault. Judge Sakamoto sentenced Royce to 20 years in prison for each of the Class A felonies and 10 years for the Class B felonies.
