Ship 'Falls Of Clyde' Needs Backing
June 25, 2008
The Bishop Museum officials are hoping that a donor can be found to repair the Falls of Clyde sailing ship moored at Honolulu Harbor's Pier 7 near Aloha Tower. The ship, listed as a national treasure, is in dire need of repairs and is the only surviving fully rigged, four-masted sailing ship in the world. Officials with the museum estimate that $32 million will be needed to restore the vessel.
