Court Rules On Gun Control
June 26, 2008
The US Supreme Court has rejected a law that placed strict curbs on guns in Washington DC. The landmark 5-4 ruling was the first time in nearly 70 years the high court has addressed the Second Amendment of the US Constitution. The ruling struck down one of the nation’s strictest gun control laws that banned private handguns and required that firearms kept at home be unloaded and disassembled or bound by a trigger lock.
