Stock Market Tumbles
June 27, 2008
The stock market lost 120 points, sliding into what is referred to as a Bear Market, before closing slightly above 11,300 on Friday. The Bear Market, a term used when the market losses more 20 percent of its value, reflects the persistent weaknesses of the US economy. Inflation fears and the high cost of oil are being blamed for the downturn.
