Honolulu City Councilwoman Ann Kobayashi has announced that she will run for mayor in the upcoming election. Kobayashi, who has represented District 5 since 2001, also served as a state senator for 14 years from 1980 to 1994. She announced her intention to enter the race after hearing from constituents who feel that they are being ignored.
