John Pala, a 43-year-old health insurance salesman from Florida on vacation in Tennessee, saved his son from a vicious black bear attack at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on Monday. Pala was hiking with his two sons, 8-year-old Evan and 10-year-old Alex, when a bear emerged from the woods and attacked the young boy.
