A recent poll conducted by CNN/Opinion Research Corp. shows presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama in a statistical dead heat. According to the poll the two senators are running neck and neck with 47 percent of those asked supporting either candidate. The poll shows some erosion of support for Democratic contender Obama. Last month, he had a 51 to 44 percent advantage over Senator McCain.
