Computer Glitch Delays Flights Nationwide
August 27, 2008
Computer systems were back to normal after flight delays across most of the East Coast yesterday. The Federal Aviation Administration said that delays and cancellations were caused by a glitch in a database used for filing flight plans. Officials with the Department of Homeland Security said that the problem was not related to a terrorist attack and that the FAA was able to continue tracking planes in flight throughout the incident.
