The "Junk Raft", piloted by Eriksen and Joel Paschal, floated into Ala Wai boat harbor yesterday after a 2,600 mile, 88 day trip from Long Beach California. The raft, made from 15,000 plastic bottles bundled together for flotation and an old Cessna airplane fuselage for a cabin, was built and sailed to raise awareness about high levels of plastic polluting our oceans.
