Honolulu Zoo Tiger Has Cubs
September 17, 2008
Chrissie, the Sumatran Tiger at the Honolulu Zoo, gave birth to three cubs late Monday night, according to keepers at the zoo. Chrissie and the father of the cubs, Berani, arrived at the Honolulu Zoo in November 2005 from Fort Wayne Children's Zoo in Indiana. The pair is part of a breeding program designed to increase genetic variability in the captive population.
