Ouch! Warriors Fall in Sugar Bowl
January 2, 2008
The University of Hawaii Warrior football team was defeated yesterday 41-10 by the Georgia Bulldogs in the All-State Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. The Warrior offense got off to a slow start with a field goal and never really recovered from the aggressive Bulldog defense. Quarterback Colt Brennen was sacked eight times yesterday and the team fumbled a record six times, one for a Bulldog defensive touchdown. The only touchdown for Warriors came late in the fourth quarter with a Taylor Graunke pass to Ryan Grice-Mullins. It was a dismal end to a perfect 12-0 season.
