Brittany Spears, notorious pop-star and mother of two, was taken to UCLA medical center in LA for psychiatric evaluation late last night. Police were called earlier in the day and planned a highly choreographed motorcade to whisk Spears away from the throng of paparazzi surrounding her home. In an impressive display of public spending, the police operation consisted of motorcycle officers, plain clothes police, high-ranking "brass" from the police department, police helicopters and ambulance crews. It is unclear how long Spears will remain in the hospital.
