JAHawaii Gets Energy Grant

The US Department of Energy announced $7 million in funding for Hawaii to develop new energy distribution technologies. A new system wil be installed in the Maui Lani substation on Maui and will take advantage of renewable energy sources to study excess demand on the electricity grid and intermittent power supplies common to Hawaii.
