Former UH Warriors quarterback Colt Brennan was signed with the Washington Redskins football team on Saturday. He was drafted in the sixth round, far below expectations. Scouts considered him a potential late first- or second-round pick for the 2007 draft, but Brennan decided to return to UH for his senior season. He led UH to a 12-0 regular season and the Sugar Bowl but the loss in that game cost him status in the draft after Hawaii lost 41-10 to Georgia. Brennan was the 10th quarterback selected and was the 186th player to be drafted overall.
