Humpback Whales Doing Well

A recent study by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has revealed that the Humpback Whale population in the Pacific has rebounded after years of being protected. Scientists are now looking at whether or not to move the whale from the endangered list to threatened list in terms of animal management. Currently, the whales are protected under federal laws that include the Marine Mammal Protection Act and the Endangered Species Act.
