Tour Plane Search Suspended

The US Coast Guard suspended the search for a tour plane that went down on the Big Island yesterday. The Island Hopper plane was on a Big Island tour when it was reported missing after failing to return at the scheduled time. The plane was last seen heading back to Kona after flying over the Kilauea volcana, on the southeastern side of the island. Three people were aboard the plane. The pilot has been identified as Katsuhiro Takahashi (40) of Kona. The two passengers were Nobuhiro Suzuki (53) and his wife Masako (56) from of Urayasu, Japan. The son of the couple and two uncles arrived from Japan yesterday to meet with search officials.
