Police are investigating a "white granular" substance sent to the New York Times today. The incident follows a series of threatening letters sent to NY banks over the last several days. Investigators were called to the New York Times offices after a worker opened an envelope containing a suspicious powder. Portions of the building were closed off for several hours but officials say that no one has fallen ill.
