Superferry Delayed. Again.
In a major development, the Hawaii Superferry is one again postponing its service to Maui. Originally scheduled to start yesterday, the re-launch was pushed back until December 13th.
For those who have followed the story, the delay could have been predicted. From court injunctions to protests, the Superferry has been besieged with problems. This time, however, recent storms and high waves are the culprit. Passengers with tickets are being offered refunds or an opportunity to reschedule at a later date. Check the Superferry website for details.
Let's hope things get off to a better start next week. (That means no torrential rain, giant waves, impromptu protests, migrating whales, lengthy court injunctions, dreams of an exclusive island paradise that have no basis in reality, invasive species alerts, traffic congestion, environmental hysteria, mainland-style conniption fits, or giant marauding seafaring hamsters.)
