Most Hated in Hawaiian Waters?
Hawaii is a floating paradise in the Pacific Ocean. The serene blue waters are a favorite to visitors. Floating in the ocean can free you from the stress of everyday life. But in the waters of Hawaii there are many living things that we do not want to have an encounter with! An example of this is the jelly fish! When there is a large occurrence of jelly fish in the waters around Hawaii, they put warning signs on the beach. When you see the sign it is better not to enter the water. Depending on the level of danger posed by jelly fish, they might close the beach. There are two species of jelly fish that can be seen in the waters of Hawaii, they are the Box Jelly Fish and the Portuguese man-of-war.
So if by chance you are stung by one of these jelly fish, what should you do? First thing that you should do is find a life guard. Even a little brush with one of these creatures can cause severe symptoms such as difficult breathing and water build up on the lungs. Applying some white vinegar to the affected area can greatly reduce the pain and discomfort, but if it is a severe case you should seek medical attention as soon as possible.
Depending on the beach, for every 200 people entering the water maybe 1 person will be stung. Is this a lot? It all depends on your luck!
