Instead of giving bouquets, the Hawaiian traditional way to celebrate special occasions or the way to show appreciation is to give lei's. When we hear lei, we tend to think of leis made with fresh pulmaria or some kind of Hawaiian flowers, but there are some leis made out of ribbons these days.
