~Hawaii's Bishop Museum~
Everyone knows that Hawaii is every shopper's paradise but did you know that Hawaii also has a rich history that is screaming for some attention? The Bishop Museum offers children and adults of all ages a chance to learn about Hawaii's past located right in Honolulu.
Bishop Museum was founded by Charles Reed Bishop and in 1889 he dedicated the Bishop Museum to his wife Pauai Bishop who was the last direct decendent to King Kamehameha. The Bishop Museum houses tons or artifacts from ancient Hawaii, treasures of the Pacific, and cultural reminents of the Hawaii islands with over 2,000,000 artifacts available for the public.
The Bishop Museum tour begins with giving its customers a view into the voyage of the Polynesian's as they used the stars as their compass to travel the Pacific Ocean. The Bishop Museum tour also offers its guests a chance to experience a Hawaiian volcano along with many other interesting programs offered by this Hawaii history haven.
Although Bishop Museum is most famous for its great amount of history of the Pacific and Hawaii Islands, Bishop Museum is also known as one of Hawaii's #1 'ghost-towns'!!! Locals say that inside this museum live ancient residents of Hawaii who sometimes rear their head from time to time. They are said to be seen in the windows and shops of the Bishop Museum late at night so be careful when trecking through the Bishop Museum because you might just get more than you bargained for!!! Enjoy, Aloha!

I have several tapa cloths from the Cook Islands that were obtained in 1949. Would the museum be interested in having them? Please let me know at jengle2300@att.com. Thank you,
Jean Engle
