Manoa's Lush Rain Forest
Manoa is known as a place that rains a lot throughout the year. Located just past Waikiki towards the mountains, Manoa is home to a lush, expansive rain forest that you can't find anywhere else in America. This place is known by locals as the hiking spot, "Manoa Falls Trail".
This is a 30 minute hiking trail that's perfect for everyone, even beginners. And unlike the trails you'll find at Diamond Head and Makapu'u, where the main attraction is seeing the ocean as you hike, the Manoa Falls Trail takes you straight through Manoa's lush rainforest.

This place is truly a tropical paradise - you'll see a ton of exotic trees and birds everywhere. There's also a small stream running alongside the trail, where you can see crayfish and ricefish swimming about.
At the end of the trail, you'll find a beautiful waterfall. It's a bit small, though it plays a big role in transporting a cool breeze throughout the forest. When you're all tired and sweaty from the hike, this waterfall is a very refreshing sight.

However, there is one word of caution when hiking here. Since it rains a lot in Manoa, certain areas of the trail may be slippery, so always be sure to watch your step.
