Cute Ribbon Lei
Instead of giving bouquets, the Hawaiian traditional way to celebrate special occasions or the way to show appreciation is to give lei's. When we hear lei, we tend to think of leis made with fresh pulmaria or some kind of Hawaiian flowers, but there are some leis made out of ribbons these days.
The good thing about ribbon leis is that it will never die. The ribbon lei making is held at "Mea Aloha". You can take this ribbon lei making lessons for free if you purchase any materials at the store, from the beginners class to advanced class. If you are a beginner, it might be fun to make a small ribbon lei for your cell phone key-chain.
They also hold Hawaiian quilt lessons, so contact Mea Aloha if you are interested!
