CHINAMAN’S HAT, was named as such because it resembles the type of hat typically worn by Chinese people and is located on the East side of Oahu. The official name of the island is actually Mokolii, but everyone knows it as Chinaman’s hat!

When the tide is high, this island gets isolated from the main island of Oahu as it seemingly floats in the middle of the ocean. During low tide, the water surrounding the island is only about shoulder high, so you can actually walk there!

Beautiful just to look at from afar, there is nothing more fun than a kayak ride around the island when the tide is high or wait for low tide to walk over!
