A beautiful botanical garden
A long time ago, a small piece of land was leased to a young German botanist and Physician, William Hillebrand, who built a home with his wife surrounded by a beautiful garden. Today, that magnificent garden has become known as the FOSTER BOTANICAL GARDEN.
The Foster Botanical Garden brings together an array of tropical plants from around the world, some of which are rare and endangered. In an effort to educate and inform, this garden plays host to groups of students coming from all over the island to study these rare botanic miracles.
Besides magnificent flowers, plants and trees, you’ll also find exquisite statues and masterpieces collected over the years by each owner and guardian of the land.
Guided tours are offered weekly at 1:00 pm from Monday to Saturday. It’s a wonderful way to expand your horizons while spending a relaxing afternoon.
