Honolulu Family Festival
2008 Honolulu Family Festival
The Honolulu Family Festival is back! First held in 2006 to celebrate the city's centennial, the festival was so popular that Mayor Mufi Hanneman has made it a yearly event! Stop by Magic Island this weekend for a fun and festive carnival unlike another other on Oahu!
All of the entertainment, rides, food and fun are provided by E.K. Fernandez Shows, so you know it will have a great carnival atmosphere! This year's live entertainment line-up includes The Flying Maltese Trapeze Show, Hedrick's Racing Pigs, Backyard Circus & Puppet Parade, and various local artists in the community tent.
The shows and events are free and open to the public but if you want to try the rides, you'll have to purchase tickets at the festival or pick up an all-you-can-ride wristband at Ticketmaster or Times Supermarkets.
Proceeds from the festival go toward the upkeep and maintenance of Ala Moana Beach Park.
