Hawaii’s Very Own “Dole Plantation”

The Dole Plantation is located just 50 minutes away from Waikiki by car on the North side of the island. There you can get a glimpse of an entirely different side of Hawaii. The Dole Plantation facilities have been erected right in the middle of a huge pineapple field. It’s also the site of the 2001 Guinness Book record-breaking giant maze.
Jump on the steam train running throughout the premises to catch a glimpse of the various plants, including pineapple trees of course. You’ll also be amazed by the various different shapes of pineapples being grown!
The large visitor center was recently renovated in April 2006, allowing visitors to enjoy a better view of the surrounding fields and shop for plantation items at ease. The bright yellow Dole T-shirts are a big favorite, along with the pineapple ice-cream!
