Worried about the weather?
Weather has got to be the number one thing everyone worries about before a wedding.
Most people choose to have their wedding in Hawaii precisely because of the good weather… However, depending on the season, even Hawaii weddings can risk getting washed out by rain. Especially during the rainy season from December to March. (The West side does tend to stay relatively dry though…)
Of course we all hope for bright sunny skies on our wedding day. Nevertheless, there are proverbs saying it’s a good omen for a couple if it rains on a wedding day, as in “after a storm comes a calm”. In particular, in Hawaii, rain is often accompanied by beloved rainbows, as seen on Hawaii license plates.
In fact, a rainbow symbolizes a “promise to God”. So even if it does happen to rain on your wedding day, there’s no reason to get down! Just look up at the sky for that rainbow sent down from Heaven as a personal blessing from God.
